Do you plan nonprofit fundraising events? We’d love to help you raise some money!

All nonprofits thrive on two things… awareness and money.  Galas and events do this superbly well, and we’d like to help by offering a memorable experience, a valuable keepsake, and a boost to the bottom line!

The Vanity Portrait Studio is a magazine-inspired photo studio brought to your event and it can be used as a fundraising machine! Many non-profit events encourage guests to get all dressed up for the big day and with everyone looking their best, we feel it’s a prime opportunity to offer a magazine-style photo shoot! By asking for donations to step into the studio, non-profits can boost event donations and also offer an elegant and engaging addition to the evening.

This started out as an idea to test at Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Greater Bay Area’s (LLS) annual Regatta Gala, and after seeing its success, we had to share!

Here’s how it worked in four steps:

  1. At the entrance of the studio, guests were greeted by a representative from LLS and given the opportunity to participate in exchange for a “sitting fee” which was a donation of $50/person. 100 percent of the proceeds went to LLS.
  2. Guests who wanted to donate, were then stylistically posed and photographed by a Portrait Photographer. Multiple “looks” were created for each guest.
  3. The images were edited in real-time and guests were able to choose which portraits they would like to print.  Each matted print was priced at a donation of $50/print. Guests could leave with as many prints as they’d like.
  4. As guests exited the studio, donations were taken via credit card by a representative from LLS.

In two hours, The Vanity Portrait Studio raised $5,000 for LLS. We were thrilled with the amount raised in a short time.

“Our VIP crowd loved getting their photos taken. Everyone was so impressed with how great the photos made them look.  It was a great way to get our crowd pumped up for the evening and let their hair down, which really helps when you are raising money! Last year’s attendees are asking if [The Vanity Portrait Studio] will be back again this year! I say, definitely!”

If you’re interested in having The Vanity Portrait Studio at your next event, we would love to be part of your event. Give us a shout!

Here are our fav portraits from the LLS’s annual Regatta Gala

We are eager to raise more money for LLS this fall at their 2018 Regatta Gala! We hope to see you there.

The Spring season has been chock-full of nonprofit galas and fundraising events. Being able to be part of events that support incredible causes is something we cherish about being in our industry.

Recently, we were honored to be part of Make-A-Wish®Greater Bay Area’s Wine and Wishes fundraiser and American Heart Association Greater Bay Area’s Heart Ball both planned by the fabulous team at Kelley O’Brien Events. You ladies rock!

One thing we love most about bringing The Vanity Portrait Studio to events is the opportunity to give people the unexpected chance to get a beautiful portrait of themselves. We meet guests in a place where they are already dressed up, looking and feeling good, and ready to celebrate – all of the makings for a portrait that brings out someone’s best light.

Guests leave with something timeless that they can display in their home. For Make-A-Wish Bay Area’s event, we created custom mats with their logo. This is a lasting way for guests to be reminded of the organization or company long after the event is over. The matted portraits that guests receive are ready to be slotted into an 8×10 frame to display in the home or office.

Here’s some of our favs from the Make-A-Wish®Greater Bay Area’s event. The event was held at City View at Metreon in San Francisco and the studio was furnished by Bright Event Rentals. We LOVE the blue Coco Luxe chair!

For American Heart Associations’ Heart Ball, we had a moody set that brought out the elegance of the evening. Here’s some of our favs from the Heart Ball that was held at Pier 27 in San Francisco.

Wait…is that who we think it is?! We loved having a surprise guest appearance from Teri Hatcher!

Thank YOU, Make-A-Wish®Greater Bay Area and American Heart Association Greater Bay Area for allowing us to be part of your amazing events.

If you’re interested in having The Vanity Portrait Studio at your next event, give us a shout!

What happens when the rugged outdoors and the Vanity Portrait Studio collide? Glamping! We captured some oh-so chic campers at a vendor showcase in San Francisco at Metro Events’ Pier 35 organized by the lovely team at Danielle Gibson Events.

The camping theme was a fresh twist for a vendor showcase. Who doesn’t love being bundled up in a puffy vest, while eating gourmet s’mores?!

While this is may be the first time flannel made its debut in the Vanity Portrait Studio, we have to say…we dig it.

A shout-out to Standard Party Rentals for furnishing the studio and providing the backdrop that tied perfectly into the rustic, nature aesthetic of the event.

We always recommend a simpler studio set because our intention is to showcase our subjects and make them the center focus.

Our niche is capturing magazine-inspired photos at events. We want guests to have a timeless portrait that will leave them talking about your event long after the party is over.

If you’re looking to amplify your next event, the Vanity Portrait Studio is here to help.
